Kalisha Soe is a proud Kalkadoon, Kuku-Yalanji and Samoan woman. She enjoys creating art that makes people happy and represents them in different ways and forms. She uses her knowledge of Aboriginal Australian art and adds a modern twist to it.

"This piece I have created is called ‘Embrace’. While I was having a conversation with one of the trainers at Vulcana and by also doing my own research I put together this artwork that represents people that come from different backgrounds, countries, and beliefs to be able to come together and embrace their differences with no judgement. I chose those colours to represent the joy, happiness, and beauty they share with others."
